Stevan LaBonte is an Associate with the firm of Bellavia Gentile & Associates, LLP in Mineola, New York. He is part of the firm’s Automobile and Marine Dealership Law Practice Group.

Mr. LaBonte has considerable experience in the field of Automobile Dealership and Employment Law having spent the nearly 11 years with the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA), a new car trade association representing more than 600 vehicle franchises in the downstate New York area.

With Bellavia Gentile & Associates, Mr. LaBonte has represented dealers in DMV and Department of Consumer Affairs Hearings, civil trials throughout New York State, and has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals.

Stevan has conducted seminars on the New York State Lemon Law, DMV Titling and Billing Procedures, Navigating the Complex Landscape of Dealership Laws and Regulations (for both sales and service), Privacy Act, and New York Labor Laws. In addition, Mr. LaBonte provides in-house training for dealership personnel and mock DMV Audits for New York dealers.

Mr. LaBonte has also appeared on many national and local television programs, including Court TV, CNNFN, News 4 NY (WNBC), Fox 5’s Good Day New York (WNYW), Eyewitness News (WABC). Prior to his tenure with the GNYADA, he served as a Consumer Frauds Representative with the New York State Department of Law, Office of the Attorney General
